When I was little, I watched Annie and fell in love with Tim Curry singing Easy Street. Then, as a teenager, I fell in love with the sexy Sweet Transvestite in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. And to this day and forever more, I will always love him.
So my heart is breaking, as are the hearts of so many people from different generations. My 12-year-old niece adored him from Home Alone 2 and her favorite movie, Clue.
No matter what he did, whether it was a comedy, a drama, a horror, or a musical, he made everything better with his standout, fantastic performances. He was always perfection.
But then in 2012, he was robbed of his singing and dancing abilities by a stroke. So today he was freed from his chair, and he can dance and sing like he used to.
So, I picture him doing what he did in that scene above from Wiseguy, dancing on his grave with such joy! Dance, Tim! Dance!!!
You will never be forgotten because generations will grow up with your performance. People will dress up as you as Frank-N-Furter at midnight screenings. They will scream when they see you as the original and best Pennywise. You were the best butler in cinematic history, whether it was in Clue or Family Affair. You were so good at being the bad guy, and no matter how bad you were, we could never hate you.
I could go on and on because you did so much and you did so brilliantly. So be at peace in Heaven because you deserve it.
