Imagine this conversation:
Son: Hi, Mom! I just got a job with Netflix!!!
Mom: I am so proud of you. I can’t wait to share the news with my Mahjong girls. Are you going to be in a movie?
Son: No.
Mom: Are you going to be in a TV show?
Son: No.
Mom: Then, what?
Son: They are going to put me in a billboard on Sunset for two days to promote one of their films.
Mom hangs up!
That is the call some son had with his mom when he told her that he would be stuck in a billboard, 30 feet high, to promote The Last House, a film about a family stuck in their house.
In case you are wondering, reports say that it is indeed air-conditioned, which is a good thing. Because if they didn’t, he would not survive the two days in over 90-degree heat.
The Last House streams tomorrow. I wonder if there is a television in there so that he can watch it. He can watch it in between interacting with passersby via cue cards.
