Wes Anderson, James L. Brooks, and Luke Wilson went to the Academy Museum yesterday to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film Bottle Rocket. After the Q&A, they were planning to go home. However, the elevator had other plans for them.
According to TMZ, the seven people spent about an hour trapped in the elevator until they were rescued by LAFD Station 61.
After they were set free, Anderson asked one of the firefighters what caused the elevator to stop. He told the filmmaker that he believes it was because they put too much weight in the lift. To which Brooks, the comedic legend, did not miss a beat and said, It was probably me.
And with that, I would be surprised if we get an episode with The Simpsons stuck in an elevator.
