Match Game has been on and off the air since 1982, and ABC is bringing it back again. This time, the game show will be hosted by Martin Short, and it will not be short on jokes.
Actually, the game show that asks six celebrities to fill in the blanks might have too many jokes! I am sure the outtakes are going to be so much better than what we will see because what doesn’t make air will probably need to be censored. That is why it sucks that it is on broadcast television because the censors are so prudish.
Short is taking over for Alec Baldwin, who did the job from 2016 to 2021. He almost came up short on the job because Deadline is reporting that Sarah Jessica Parker was up for the gig, but the deal was never signed. That is a great thing because she is as funny as Donald Trump trying to do standup.
