Harrison Ford is 82 years old. But that does not mean that he is too old to experience the ramifications of childhood disease.
The actor who was supposed to be a presenter at the Oscars tomorrow was forced to drop out. According to Entertainment Weekly, he tested positive for shingles, which is caused by the dormant virus of chickenpox that stays in your system for the rest of your life after you get it.
It is sometimes brought on by stress. So I blame the SAG Awards and Jessica Williams for making him feel guilty because he was caught eating a cookie live on the air. What else could he be stressing about?
The Academy wasted no time in announcing that Mark Hamill will fill in for his old buddy. Once again, Luke Skywalker has to save the day because of Han Solo.
I have not seen the last three Star Wars movies and I don’t remember the fourth, fifth, and sixth episodes. So, I am just assuming that he had to do that.
And I also have never had chickenpox, but I am vaccinated. Because I never had that pox on my body. I have been itchy with each letter I typed in this post. It is purely psychological, but it is what it is every time I hear the words chickenpox and shingles.
Finally, I hope the force is strong with Ford, and he is better soon and that he doesn’t experience the pain of shingles.
