Have you ever wondered what happens to all of those socks that go missing in the laundry? Sean Whalen shows us in Horredy, Crust, a movie he wrote, directed, and stars in.
Vegas Winters, a depressed, washed-up child actor, fled Tinseltown and now owns and lives in a rundown laundromat. He finds lost socks in the machines and uses them to soak up all his bodily fluids. One night, he is bullied and he cries a tear that turns the pile into a loving sock monster named Crust. Crust becomes his protector and friend. Meanwhile, he has a new girlfriend, a paranormal investigator hounding him, and an old two-faced costar who is forcing him to join a reboot of their 90s sitcom. As Vegas’s life begins to spiral, his enemies are obliterated with deadly consequences.
Who says Hollywood is out of ideas? When was the last time you saw a movie about a killer sock monster? I have seen a lot, but I have never seen that.
