John Stamos has joined the cast of ABC’s "A Raisin in the Sun," the TV movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s play. In "Raisin," which tells the story of a family living and struggling on Chicago’s South Side in the 1950s, Stamos has been cast in the role of Carl Lindner, who represents the all-white community of Claybourne Park in its efforts to buy out the black Younger family from moving in. The three-hour movie also stars Sean Combs, Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan, who are reprising their roles from the 2004 Broadway revival. The movie starts shooting soon in Toronto.
