Taylor Swift was set to play Vienna, Austria, from Thursday to Saturday, but she was forced to cancel all three shows after two suspects were arrested for planning a terrorist attack possibly at one of her concerts.
According to BBC News, police seized chemical agents from the residence of the main suspect, a 19-year-old man who is said to have been radicalized by a self-styled “Islamic State” terror group.
The singer’s promoters, Barracuda Music, issued this statement: “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Vienna Shows Cancelled Due to Government Officials Confirmation of Planned Terrorist Attack
“With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”
Thankfully, this was stopped before anything happened.
