As a model, swimmer, and gardener, Christie Brinkley has spent a lot of time in the sun. And that is coming back to bite her on the face.
That is because the 70-year-old model revealed today that she had skin cancer removed from the left side of her face.
She recently went with her daughter to the dermatologist so that the doctor could check out her kid’s moles. But then the supermodel asked him to look at something on her face. As soon as he did, he told her that it needed to be biopsied.
When the results came back, she was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma. He then scheduled an appointment to have it removed, and they got it all.
Now, she will be wearing SPF 30, long sleeves, and wide-brimmed hats to protect her from the sun. And she recommends you do the same.
