From 2011-2016, I was obsessed with the docuseries Gigilos on Showtime. It was about five men who worked as paid escorts in Las Vegas and what it was like to live the life of a Gigilo.
After it ended, I never wondered what happened to those five men. And I should have. Because in 2020, one of them was involved in murdering a client.
On March 4th, Paramount+ is going to investigate the shocking murder committed by Ash Armand, whose real name is Akshaya Kubiak, in Sin City Gigolo: A Murder in Las Vegas.
When first responders arrive at the home of one of Gigilos’ stars, they discover a bruised and bludgeoned body. As the gruesome details emerge, questions quickly arise about the identity of the victim, the Las Vegas Police Department’s handling of the investigation, and how the sequence of events surrounding the death unfolded. What possessed a former reality TV star, who preached a mantra of love and light, to carry out such a brutal crime?
The three-part series will feature former Gigilos cast members, friends, family, and law enforcement who weigh in on this tragic case.
What light will they share about what led up to the night and what has happened since? That is why we will have to tune in.
If you missed Gigilos during its original run, you can stream every episode on Paramount+. Were there clues that something like this could have happened? Gigilos, believe it or not, was a lighthearted show. But I think I remember things changing when Ash joined the show in season 3.
Side note: One of the producers of Gigilos was Richard Grieco from 21 Jump Street and its spinoff Booker.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been making sweet music between the sheets for over a year. So much so that they got engaged in December. Now, the singer and her producer are sharing the melody of that love with us.
Gomez announced today, “My NEW album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco, is out on 3/21 .”
We do not have to wait until then to get a sample of their love tunes because they just released the first single, Scared of Loving You.
If that is how they think their love affair sounds to each other, then I think they are going to be one of the few Hollywood couples to last. That single sounds like two soulmates who found each other and never want to be apart again.
But then again, it is hours before Valentine’s Day, and I am sucker for love. Even if I never have it!
Before Alicia Silverstone had her own car in Clueless, she wanted Kevin Arnold to pick her up in one on The Wonder Years. She looks the same now as she did when she was 15 in that 1992 episode.
Cobra Kai started streaming its final six episodes today on Netflix. It has been an event six years in the making.
Even though the series is coming to an end, the relationship between Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser is just beginning.
That is right. Not only did they play a couple on the Karate Kid sequel, they are one in real life. And yesterday, at the premiere, they revealed that they are engaged.
So does that mean that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are going to be in-laws since Mouser plays LaRusso’s daughter, Sam, and Buchanan is Lawrence’s son, Robby? I hope it does so that their bromance can turn them into brothers due to their Cobra Kai kids. That is how it works, right?
And talking about getting right, the producers got it right with a surprise cameo that will have you applauding!
And to everyone who has been involved with Cobra Kai, I say to you, “Arigato gozaimashita.” It has been a series that defied expectations from the first episode until the last one.
