BTWF: Valarie Pettiford in The Equalizer
December 18th, 2024 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Valarie Pettiford guest starred on the remake of The Equalizer, she made a cameo in the original one. She is just as beautiful now as she was when she was 25 in that 1986 episode.

Back in 2002, Thelma Hopkins and Valarie Pettiford starred in the sitcom Half & Half as two women whose daughters shared the same father. That plotline sounds like a Soap Opera, right?

Well, the two actresses have been reunited on a real Soap, and they are already bringing the drama, I mean comedy, to The Young & the Restless.

That is because they recreated that infamous wig scene, the one where Hopkins steals Pettiford’s weave off of her head, and then the latter takes a new one out of her purse and puts it on like nothing happened. Because, just like Prince Harry, it is always good to have a spare.

Hopefully, they will bring that kind of humor to the Y&R because those are the best moments on a Daytime Drama.

What is, who is competing on Celebrity Jeopardy?
December 18th, 2024 under Jeopardy. [ Comments: none ]

It is almost that time of year when we get to find out which celebrities we are smarter than on Celebrity Jeopardy. Well, most of them, at least.

And it would be nice to know who is competing on the game show this season. Right? Entertainment Weekly revealed that they are: Ana Navarro (The View), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Ms. Maisel), Neil deGrasse Tyson, Blake Anderson (Workaholics), Corbin Bleu (High School Musical), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place), Margaret Cho (Fire Island), Seth Green (Robot Chicken), Max Greenfield (New Girl), Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls), Camilla Luddington (Grey’s Anatomy), Natalie Morales (Dead to Me), Melissa Peterman (Happy’s Place), Roy Wood Jr. (The Daily Show), Brian Jordan Alvarez (English Teacher), W. Kamau Bell (United Shades of America), Sherry Cola (Joy Ride), Chris Distefano (Benders), Omar J. Dorsey (Queen Sugar), Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project), David Friedberg (All-In), Mina Kimes (ESPN’s Around The Horn), Phoebe Robinson (Everything’s Trash), Robin Thede (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Jackie Tohn (Nobody Wants This).

Who are you rooting for? I want my JHS alum, Neil deGrasse Tyson, to win. This way, I can say my JHS has a Dancing with the Stars champ and host, and a Celebrity Jeopardy champ because we can dance and we’s smart! Well, they can say that, and I can say I went to school with them. And this is all about me.

Celebrity Jeopardy with host Ken Jennings will return to ABC on January 9th.

Cowabunga, dude! It’s Lisa and Bart Simpson IRL!
December 18th, 2024 under The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was the 35th anniversary of The Simpsons’ debut on Fox, so the network threw them a party!

And if you are going to have a party for a show, you need to invite the actors! So they did, and we got a photo of Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith, or as you know them as Bart and Lisa Simpson, together. And that makes me as happy as when I watch a new episode of their animated sitcom.

I wonder if they ever thought they would still be playing elementary students when they were in their 60s,

I feel like The Traitors is not being fateful to us
December 18th, 2024 under Peacock. [ Comments: none ]

The first season of the US version of The Traitors was great because it was a mix of reality stars and real people. However, the second season was all reality names. And it wasn’t as good because they are used to faking it for the camera.

And they are doing the same for the third season. Today, Peacock released the first look at the upcoming season, and I think the show is done. It feels very fake to me. If I want to watch a bunch of reality show bad guys fighting with each other to win a prize, I will watch House of Villains on E!, which I do.

Are you getting the same vibe as me? Will you watch it when it debuts on January 9th?
