Today is the most important election day of our lives. If you haven’t voted, then do it now. As Cyndi Lauper said, “Girls they want to have fun-damental rights!”
When I turned in my ballot, I had my period because my ovaries were screaming for me to do the right thing. As I drove to the Amelia Earhart Library, I listened to Helen Reddy’s I Am Woman. I wanted DC to hear me roar in numbers too big to ignore.
NBC had an inspirational comedy on their hands with Connecting…, but they didn’t handle it correctly. Therefore, today they announced that the sitcom, about our times now, will air its final four episodes on Peacock and NBC.com starting this Thursday at 8:30p.
Connecting… is a groundbreaking sitcom where the actors shot themselves via technology as they did stories about COVID-19, the lockdown, George Floyd, loneliness, and everything else in between. It was real, and it was funny. It just didn’t have enough of you watching.
I blame NBC for that. It was the first scripted show to air on NBC and did not have any other shows to promote it with. Comedies always have a hard time finding an audience, so throwing it out there, seeing if it can stick, is not going to work. They should have waited and paired it up with Superstore and debuted it then. Then it might have had a better chance.
If you missed it, then catch up on it on NBC.com and Peacock. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Before friends told their friends to watch Heather Locklear on Melrose Place, she was telling friends to use Fabergé Organics. She looks the same now as she did when she was 22 in that 1984 commercial.
I actually posted this ad because whenever Donald Trump holds a rally, I think of this commercial. I think of his follower being like, I got COVID-19 at a Trump rally, and I gave it to two friends, and they gave it to two friends, and so on and so on… Am I right?
Pauley Perrette has been working as a model and actress since the ’80s, and she announced that she is ready to move on from that part of her life.
“I finally and happily retired! And this is what I was looking forward to!!! My rules in life now are if my #rescuedogs don’t care, it’s cool! I only answer to God and animals and plants now. WOOT!!!” she wrote. “Does ANYONE KNOW if there’s a legal and safe way to get a freaking #tattoo and #piercing in #LosAngeles now? I’m finally (after over 4 decades!!!) not under contract to a studio or a record company or a modeling agency and can do WHATEVER I WANT! I WANT new tattoos & piercings!”
Good thing she did 15 years on NCIS because that residual money is going to come in helpful.
