Idris Elba has the ability to make women’s private parts swell and turns out there is a woman who made a body part of his swell. He revealed in Us Weekly‘s 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me that, “My celebrity crush is Meryl Streep. When I met her, my tongue swelled up in my mouth!” I wonder if something else swelled, but in his pants! I will just imagine that it did! You know because, Meryl Streep had that affect on people.
Comedy Central announced today that this Thursday’s episode of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore will be its last. The show debuted last January, but it never connected with audiences both on the small screen and virally, thus their decision.
Comedy Central president Kent Alterman told Variety, “We hold Larry in the highest esteem, personally and professionally. He brought a strong voice and point of view to the late-night landscape,” adding, “Unfortunately it hasn’t resonated with our audience.” Therefore their decision.
While the news is not surprising, it is surprising that they cancelled it before the Presidential election. You would think they would’ve kept it until mid-November, but guess not.
Since I like conspiracy theories, I want to know why they made this decision now. My theory is that are thinking of bringing back Stephen Colbert who is not doing well over at CBS. It would make sense right?
At this time, The Hollywood Reporter says that Trevor Noah is safe. But since he is also not doing well in the ratings and barely getting much social media attention, I think his days are numbered too. Which gives more credence to my theory about Colbert.
Especially since at this point they are not planning to replace that show until the new year at the earliest.
Tom Jones is as known for women throwing their underwear at him as concerts as the songs he sings during them. Well, there is a new artist who says that the women of Detroit honored him in the same way. After performing in Motor City, Josh Groban Tweeted, “Detroiiiiiit. You screamed. You sweat. You threw underwear on the stage. (Really.) #rockcity #notrocksinger.” He might not be a Rocker, but he does have a way of making Grobanites undies wet. Therefore it makes sense that they would throw their panties at him.
But as someone who ushered, at venue he recently played at and was on panty duty at a Tom Jones’ concert, he needs to be careful because the older he gets, the bigger the undergarments get. Let me tell you, I had one pair completely cover my whole head, and I am still seeing a psychologist from the after effects over 15 years later. Fyvush Finkel passed away today at the age of 93 according to The New York Times. The actor got his start in Yiddish Theater, but found huge television success later on his life.
In 1992, David E Kelley hired him to be the no scruples lawyer on Picket Fences and he won our hearts over. Eight year later, Kelley hired him again, but this time as a teacher stuck in his old ways on Boston Public. Even though he had roles that were not meant to be lovable, how could you love the guy with the huge eyes. Those big peepers could make anyone want to have him as their grandfather.
Although, he didn’t act as much recently that doesn’t mean he stopped acting, he still has one more film that is yet to be released. Still acting in 90’s shows how much he loved the art that loved him back.
So today honor a man who brought us so much joy by watching one of his many roles from Yiddish Theater to his parts on several of David E Kelley’s shows.
Finkel is survived by a brother, 2 sons, 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
