Last year, Avril Lavigne asked her fans to pray for her, and we didn’t say why. Today, People had an exclusive interview with her and she revealed what was wrong with her.
The singer is suffering from Lyme Disease and was bed ridden for 5 months. She told the magazine, “I had no idea a bug bite could do this.”
She explained, “I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk and I couldn’t move,” adding, “I thought I was dying.” Things got so bad, she wouldn’t be able to shower for a week because she couldn’t stand long enough to take one.
She says she is 80% better now and getting ready to live her life again. Something she is going to do to the fullest because that is what this experience has taught her.
It’s good to hear that she is doing better and I can’t wait for her next album to come out. I love her music. It’s great to listen to it when you are in a pissed off mood because it makes you feel better.
John Oliver has taken a lot of stands on his HBO show Last Week Tonight and this week he took a stance against April Fool’s Day.
As someone who is born on April Fool’s Day, I agree with him. I am sick of presents with nothing in them, empty cake boxes and that explains so much from people when they learn today is my birthday. April the first is a day like any other and we need to stop acting like it is OK to act like a fool to your friends, co-workers and loved ones on this day of the year.
