Tonight at 9p The CW has just what the doctor ordered by premiering Emily Owens, M.D. after Hart of Dixie.
Emily Owens (Mamie Gummer) has finally graduated medical school and she is ready to start over as in intern. She wants to erase her awkward school years and put her nickname Pits behind her. Only problem is her pre-college arch nemesis Casandra (Aja Naomi King) is also an intern at Denver Memorial Hospital and she is going to make Owens life hell. Luckily for Emily her med school buddy Will (Justin Hartley) is there with her too, but she has major crush on him and has yet to tell him. But then there is Dr Bandari (Necar Zadegan) who is in charge of all of the interns and she is not fan of Emily’s for reasons that are justifiable. Even though Bandari is against her, Dr Ellis (Michael Rady), who is a resident, has taken a shining to her.
As much as it is about the interns trying to learn how to be doctors, it is also about treating their patients. Each week they will solve medical cases and we will watch them grow to be the people we want to take care of us when we are sick.
Now I have to be honest the pilot is a little much as some pilots are, but the second episode is much tamer and I can see this show being around the full season with Hart of Dixie. Plus who doesn’t love have Mamie Gummer and Michael Rady back on weekly television.
Scott Lowell, Peter Paige and Robert Grant came out for a Gay & Lesbian Elder Housing event and Ted, Emmett and Ben look as close as they did when we got to know them on Queer as Folk. Can you believe that show ended in 2005 because they haven’t aged a day in 7 years!
I still miss that show, it was so groundbreaking and fun to watch.
Fame Flynet
Kourtney Kardashian is the mother of two young kids, so I guess making sure her hair looks perfect is not as much of a priority like it is for her sister Kim. I mean why else would she go out with messy locks like that.
I don’t remember the wind being that strong when I lived in Miami, well unless there was hurricane on its way. So she needs to buy some stronger gel to keep her mane in place or The Kardashian/Jenners might distance her from the family and their shows and their clothing line and so on. Doesn’t it seem like it is all about being perfect with that family and anything less is not acceptable.
The teaser trailer is out for the Carrie remake and it actually looks like it might do the original one justice. I just hope they don’t over CGI it because it was the ’70s special effects that made that flick so special!
So will I be there to see it when it comes out on March 15th? I’ll let you know when we see the full trailer.
