Steve Guttenberg claims is career is making a comeback
November 4th, 2009 under Stupid Sequels/Remakes. [ Comments: 1 ]

Steve Guttenberg thought he made a career comeback when he did with Dancing with the Stars, but that didn’t work out so well for him. Now he is telling The Sun that one of his biggest movies Three Men and a Baby is getting another sequel and it might not be the only franchise he was in that is getting one.

Guttenberg said: “Disney’s developing Three Men and a Bride. That’s going to be a smash. A smash hit. They’re bringing everybody back for that.
“Nobody knows about it. I’m the first to talk about it.”
The actor is hoping the follow-up will encourage movie bosses to reignite some of his other 1980’s hits.
He added: “It’s definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon.
“They’re surefire hits and I think they’re good for the world. They make the world a better place and that’s what it’s all about.”

I want what Guttenberg is smoking to think all of that could happen. Although I wouldn’t mind another Police Academy because those movies were awesomely bad in a good way!
BTW I wonder what the Three Men and a Baby ghost thinks of the sequel, he so needs a role in the movie!

Crap, just when we thought we finally got Jim Belushi off our TVs…
November 4th, 2009 under Primetime TV. [ Comments: none ]

Just when we finally thought we got Jim Belushi and According to Jim off of our TVs, comes word he might be back on TV with a legal drama according to Variety. Belushi would play "a likable lawyer who defends the guilty and the innocent with equal vigor." At this point the show is the pitching phase, and let's hope it stays that way. Because if Jim Belushi gets another show, who knows when we will ever get rid of it. He is like the cockroach of television stars.

The PTC is trying to stop Monday’s Gossip Girl 3-way
November 3rd, 2009 under Gossip Girl. [ Comments: 3 ]

The Parents Television Council is trying to preempt Mondays episode of Gossip Girl because there is a Ménage à trois featured on it according to Broadcasting & Cable. The uptight parents have asked all of their members (they say 1.3 million) to write their CW affiliates to preempt the airing of the episode. According to the magazine the President of the PTC wrote in the letter that he wants his members to send out, “Please be advised that the PTC will monitor this episode very closely,” he says. “Our members will not hesitate to contact local and national advertisers; and if this program violates broadcast decency law, rest assured that our members will contact the Federal Communications Commission.” When was a three-way against FCC standards? If you don’t want your kids to watch the show, then don’t let them watch it. But America is built on free speech and we are free to watch and not watch what we don’t want to see. So if you don’t want your children to see it, then shut the TV off, but stop telling others what to do.
The best way to f*ck with the PTC is to watch Monday’s Gossip Girl at 9p and get everyone you know to watch it too! If we tell them we want to see more three-ways and we want freedom of speech on fictional TV, then maybe their voice will be silenced? So please watch!
Now let’s talk about the Ménage à trois, who do you think it is? I want it to be Blair, Chuck and Serena! What better way for Blair and Serena to kiss and make up, but to kiss and make out?

CBS want 5 more episode of Accidentally on Purpose!!!
November 3rd, 2009 under CBS, Jenna Elfman. [ Comments: none ]

CBS finally announced today that they are ordering 5 more episodes of their hit comedy Accidentally on Purpose!!! The show had its highest ratings yesterday since the premiere and that is an amazing accomplishment because they were up against a kick a$$ World Series game with the Yankees.
While 5 episodes is not a full season pick up it is better than nothing. I am wondering if they only ordered 5 episodes to accommodate Jenna Elfman’s real life pregnancy? Or it could be for some reason CBS thinks we still want to see Rules of Engagament and this is the only hole they have because all of their sitcoms are doing well on Monday and Wednesday. Either way I am thrilled they are sticking with Accidentally on Purpose because the show keeps getting better and better each week. So make sure to check it out this Monday and every Monday at 8:30p on CBS! But before then watch the above interview I did with Jon Foster (Zach) and check out Nicolas Wright’s (Davis) behind-the-scene videos. Nic Video Blogs every week and they are a lot of fun to watch like the show itself!
