Before John Goodman was married to Roseanne, he was a single man calling women at 2a using MCI. Wow how awesome does the 29 year old actor look back in 1981 in that TV commercial.
Stephen Colbert traveled to Baghdad to entertain the troops, but it was a videotape message from Barack Obama that had everyone laughing except Colbert. According to AP The President ordered Gen. Ray Odierno, via a videotaped message to shave Colbert’s head and the General followed his orders and made the first slice. After that a stylist finished off the military cut. As of now this is the only picture we have the new do, and I can’t wait to see how he looks with his new cut. But I have to admit I really liked his old one, so I hope he lets it grow back!
UPDATE: Here is the video of Stephen Colbert getting his military cut on The Colbert Report and he looks awesome with his new look!!!
Nurse Jackie Peyton is far from ordinary. As an ER nurse, she navigates the rough waters of a crumbling healthcare system, doing everything she can to provide her patients with the best care possible. Whether she’s lighting into a smug doctor for failing to heed her advice, or stealing a fat money clip from a man who stabbed a prostitute and giving it to a pregnant widow, or forging the organ donor card of a man who just died, Jackie Peyton is compelled to make sense of the chaos and to level the playing field whenever she can. Right or wrong, it’s Jackie’s brand of justice all made that more manageable by a daily diet of prescription pain medication.
Edie Falco is back on cable television tonight and this time instead of taking lives, she is saving them. Showtime’s Nurse Jackie is a different type of medical show than anything on broadcast TV. Jackie is a nurse who knows more than most of the doctors and protects her patients. This show is a great medical dramedy for you to get your fix during the summer until the fall season starts up again.
So check out Nurse Jackie at 10:30p on Showtime. And if you really want the giggles, make sure to also watch Weeds that is back at 10p!
The Tonys stage almost did something that 3 season of Rock of Love…killed Bret Michaels. While walking off of the stage at the Awards show a misjudgement of timing almost did in Bret Michaels. Lucky for him, his hat stayed on and didn’t reveal what was under it…like a bald spot. Something I am dying to know.
His rep denied that he broke his nose according to People, but after the show he went to the hospital for X-Rays. Looks like his expensive hair extensions saved him from further injury!
Masi Oka is taking his love of video games to the big screen according to The Hollywood Reporter. My favorite star of Heroes is creating a new movie for Dreamworks.
The story centers on a group of mostly teenagers from around the world who are involved in a multiplayer video game, each unaware of who they really are behind the cover of their consoles and avatars. They are forced to come together for a real adventure, becoming inadvertent heroes in the process.
Oka, who will exec produce, came up with idea while playing MMORPGs — massively multiplayer online role-playing games, in that world’s parlance.
“You can be whoever you want to be,” he said. “The question came to me: What if you had to live up to the person you created in the virtual world?”
Not only will there be a movie, but Dreamworks will also be creating a video game with the movie. Not bad for the little guy who started out working for George Lucas’ ILM!!!
