Jimmy Kimmel is a sore loser
January 20th, 2009 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

On Friday’s episode Kevin James challenged Jimmy Kimmel and Guillermo to a segway race outside the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studios on Hollywood Blvd. In the first race Guillermo won it fair and square, but Jimmy couldn’t handle losing and made them do it again. This time he was victorious, but I still say Guillermo was the true winner that night!!! Go Guillermo!!!
Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC at 12:06a he will have his girlfriend Sarah Silverman on and will re-air his interview with the new President of the United States Barack Obama. Tomorrow he will have Diablo Cody and Thriving Ivory!!!

Even Ralph Macchio hates the new Karate Kid!!!
January 20th, 2009 under Stupid Sequels/Remakes. [ Comments: 1 ]

The only Karate Kid, in my eyes, has spoken out to MTV about the stupid idea that they are remaking the movie that made him a superstar and he like me wants to wax off the film!

"It feels pretty good that some people are pretty angry that they're trying to remake The Karate Kid.. it feels good that the public feels you don't touch certain things. Some times you go back to that well, and probably shouldn't.''

“From my personal view, the filling the void of what Mr. Miyagi was – and the magic of that character – is going to be the toughest task."

Macchio however did have some words of praise for 11-year-old Jaden. "Listen, here’s my take on it. I think Jaden – you know, Will Smith’s kid – the kid’s got chops. He’s young; he’s like eleven…That story will work forever, when well-told. So, it makes sense in that respect.”

Let's hope that the right people hear us angry fans and don't make the new Karate Kid movie, but since Will Smith's name is attached sadly we will be stuck with this movie that will destroy the Karate Kid name. And from the sounds of the plot of the remake, it has very little to do with the Ralph Macchio classic. So I say scrap the Karate Kid name and just make a stand alone karate movie.

BTW Ralph Macchio is at Sundance promoting his upcoming movie Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead which I can’t wait to see him in.

AI6’s Chris Sligh says Hello to Rascal Flatts!
January 20th, 2009 under American Idol 6. [ Comments: 5 ]

Remember the curly haired contestant from Season 6 of American Idol, Chris Sligh? Well now he is switching from the mic to the pen as one of his songs he co-wrote was recorded by Rascal Flatts called Here Comes Goodbye!

“Clint and I wrote this song on a Monday, recorded the demo on a Tuesday and that Wednesday Flatts’ label put it on hold,” he recalls. “To have Rascal Flatts be the very first artist to cut a song I’ve written is pretty unbelievable,” he said. “Songwriting has always been something I love, but this is just beyond any expectations I could have ever had. Clint and I felt it was a special song, but the band’s recording gives us chills and we’ve heard the song for almost a year. I can’t wait to see what happens with it.”

Here Comes Goodbye, that debuted on the radio yesterday, is the first single off Rascal Flatts new CD Unstoppable out on April 7th and I am sure that song will be saying Hello to the top of charts very soon! Chris Sligh’s second single Empty Me is currently climbing the charts!
It is nice to see that some of the former-American Idol contestants are doing well for themselves like Chris Sligh!

BTWF roles: Lily Allen in Elizabeth!
January 20th, 2009 under Before They Were Famous, Lily Allen. [ Comments: 1 ]

(3:25 in)

Before Lily Allen wanted us to Smile and was showing off her extra nipple, she was in extra in the 1998 movie Elizabeth. Even though she was just 13, she looks exactly the same except now she is a little taller.
