ABC stuck with Jimmy Kimmel Live! until 2010!!!
June 18th, 2008 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

ABC has extended Jimmy Kimmel Live! for another year, keeping the show on the network until 2010 according to Variety! Woo Hoo!
This was the news I needed because I found out yesterday that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be going on a summer hiatus starting in July. I can lose the show for a few weeks knowing that I will be getting it back for another year! Smart movie ABC!
So I had to share with y’all a section of the Variety article that spelled out what Sarah Silverman was doing to Matt Damon and what Jimmy Kimmel was doing to Ben Affleck…something they never spelled out!

Congrats to Jimmy Kimmel Live!

BTW here are Kate Walsh in only a towel and Jerry Springer wearing a towel as a skirt on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! My favorite part is when Kimmel apologizes to Kate for not standing up!!!

The most shocking scene I have seen in a movie…
June 18th, 2008 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

NSFM (not safe for men)
Wow. That is one of the most shocking scenes I have seen in a movie in a long time, if not the most shocking.
This is the second scene I have seen from On The Doll and the first one was Brittany Snow punching some guys balls over and over again! After seeing both scenes from On The Doll that is out today, I can’t wait to see the movie. Is that wrong?
And ladies it is a great movie to keep and save for when your boyfriends cheat on you! Make him sit down and watch this with you, I doubt he will cheat on you again. But then again that might not be the only thing he will not want to do with you again…unless he is in to that sort of thing!

Jimmy Kimmel “I shouldn’t be interviewing important people”
June 17th, 2008 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Jimmy Kimmel’s words not mine, because I think he did a great job interviewing them! It is nice to see the candidates as real people answering fun questions that are not politically related.
But I am wondering why did Jimmy Kimmel Live! get both Presidential Candidates during his NBA Finals pre-game shows and not you know sports figures? Just a thought!
Good job Jimmy, keep interviewing important people because you do a good job doing it!!!

Contest Time!

Enter to a win Weezer Prize Pack in honor of their brand new album being in stores now!!! The prize include a “The Red Album” CD, a vinyl “Pork and Beans” single, an album posters and a REALLY cool stop-sign poster!!! All you have to do is E-Mail me the answer at [email protected] to “What is the nickname for Weezer’s 6th (third self-titled) CD?” by June 18th with your name and address! A winner will be selected at random.
Weezer’s highly anticipated album is out, 3 weeks earlier than its original release date because the buzz behind it has been so huge!!!

The Red Album offers some of Rivers Cuomo’s most personal work on tracks such as “Heart Songs,” where he reminisces about the music wafting out of the radio growing up, name-checking everyone from Gordon Lightfoot and Eddie Rabbit to ABBA, Devo, Pat Benatar and Quiet Riot, and the playful childhood romp, “Everybody Get Dangerous” (“I didn’t really tip cows for fun, but my friends did,” he says).
“We’ve grown as a team,” Rivers says about the recording process, which started out with producer Rick Rubin at a pair of Malibu studios, then continued with the band on their own before they teamed up with Garret “Jacknife” Lee (R.E.M., Bloc Party, Snow Patrol, U2) for the first single, “Pork and Beans,” and “Troublemaker.”
“We tried to branch out instrumentally and with the arrangements,” says Pat, who played guitar and synthesizer on “Automatic,” a song he wrote and sang. “Just get a little more open with the sounds, not quite so close and dense.”
Influences were plentiful in the making of the new album. “I was listening to a lot of ‘90s hair metal when I came up with ‘Cold Dark World’,” says bassist Scott Shriner who wrote the music and traded vocals with Rivers on the song.
The Red Album shows those dreams coming true, not just for Rivers, but the rest of the band.

The first single Pork and Beans is already climbing the charts and I am sure this is just the first of many singles off “The Red Album“! Just like all their other albums! I mean this the hip hip band that gave us Buddy Holly, Island in the Sun, Beverly Hiils, Hash Pipe and so many other memorable songs!
