How I Met Your Mother has a Bachelor Party!
April 9th, 2007 under How I Met Your Mother. [ Comments: none ]

When Barney hears that Ted is planning Marshall ’s bachelor party, the ‘Barnacle’ feels the need to add his two cents, on “HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER” tonight at 8p!!!
Tonight after the show HIMYM will have exclusive uncut video of the bachelor party on HIMYM’s MySpace according to The NY Times! And if it is anything like the extended clip of Barney Top Ten Names for the bachelor van, I can’t wait!!!
As many of you know this is one of my favorite shows! Last year when I was asked what show I thought would make it to syndication, I said either HIMYM or Everybody Hates Chris. Well Chris got picked up for a third season which means if The CW lets it finish the year it should be eligible for syndication. But sadly HIMYM is a bubble show, which means Les Moonves has not guaranteed he will pick up this gem because I think he is just too old to get it. While Watch With Kristin is doing her Save One Show, I think that show will go to either Veronica Mars or last year’s winner One Tree Hill. So we need to let CBS know How I Met Your Mother deserves to be back next year, but I just haven’t figured out how to do that. If you have ideas, I would welcome them!
Although I am nervous that the show might not be back next season, show creator Carter Bays was more optimistic than me in this TV Guide interview all about HIMYM! Which is fine with me! Because if HIMYM gets picked up then I go full steam ahead to save Jericho! Who would’ve thought that CBS would have the two shows I would want to save most?

The King of Queens turns 200 tonight
April 9th, 2007 under CBS. [ Comments: none ]

The King of Queens is the longest running sitcom on TV today and only one of the six other series to reach that 200 plateau in the last 15 years. KoQ also begins to air it’s last 7 episodes on CBS tonight at 9:30p. While I have to admit I am not a KoQ fan and have maybe seen 2 of 200 episodes before I got the DVD screener for tonight’s episode, I also have to admit I am going to have to check this show out in syndication. I was shocked by just how funny this show really is! I wish I could’ve got in to it 175 episodes ago. So if you are like me and you are missing out on this show, check it out before it is too late.

Andy Summers opens up about The Police tour and more…
April 9th, 2007 under The Police. [ Comments: none ]

When it comes to The Police, I always think of Andy Summers as the quiet one, largely because Sting is Sting and I have seen Stewart Copeland in person several times. So I find it interesting the one opening up about how things are going on with the reunion tour is Andy Summers. Ever since I saw (the best documentary ever) Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out, I thought of Andy was the quiet one, guess I was wrong.

As I expected the tour is not going off so smoothly between the three men according to an interview Andy did with Female First, "We are a rock band, so by definition you have to be somewhat at the edge of battle with each other. It lends to the right kind of tension in the music. You've got to have this slightly oil-water situation. I feel like I am going into battle with this tour. I need to strap on psychic armour." Andy also talked about how they broke-up or ended the first time, "The wound wouldn't heal because there was no 'this is the last album, this is the farewell tour.' I do not ever remember us sitting down and formally saying, 'This is the end of the band.' We just went away and didn't come back. After a while I couldn't lie anymore. I knew we weren't coming back." The cause of their split was rumored in The Police box set that came out about 10 years ago, but was never confirmed. Seems we are learning more about the split now that they are back together. So what brought them back together this time around according to Andy, "I had dreams about us playing together again. I never stopped thinking about Sting or Stewart. We are always going to be bonded. When I saw Sting recently there was a flow between us that made me think something had shifted." I just hope these 3 can remain together throughout the tour or at least through LA! Just in case by some miracle I can actually get some tickets to see one of my favorite bands perform live, something I never thought would happen!

Whitney Houston’s new album a bore?
April 9th, 2007 under Whitney Houston. [ Comments: 1 ]

Rapper Ne-Yo who is working on Whitney Houston's comeback album says that he is unimpressed by the CD as it is now according to Entertainment Wise. It is same the song performed 8 times. “They all had the one same theme, which was ‘My name is Whitney Houston and this is my triumphant comeback’. We all understand she has gone through a lot. I’m sure we all get that but I think she needs songs about regular everyday life. So that’s what I’m planning to add to the album – songs about everyday emotions.” I guess you can say he feels she needs to get so emotional.

I wonder if Clive Davis will continue to let Ne-Yo work on the album after these comments?
