HAS Nicole Richie replaced Benji Madden as the most important person in the life of Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden? Sources close to Richie say she is "moving stuff out of her West Hollywood condo into his Glendale home," and Joel’s bandmate, brother, and next-door neighbor Benji is "furious." The source also said Joel and Nicole "have already become inseparable, and spend almost every night together." Richie is expected to join Madden when he deejays on New Year’s Eve at the Palms Hotel in Vegas – far from Madden’s ex, Hilary Duff, who will celebrate ‘07 at the DKNY Jeans Bash at the Setai in Miami. Richie’s rep didn’t return calls.

Morrisey needs to get over himself |

Singer Morrissey accepts he has wrecked his chances of being honored by Queen Elizabeth II – but he insists he is more deserving of a title than many recipients. The former Smiths frontman distanced himself from the establishment with tracks like The Queen Is Dead, but now concedes he’d be proud to pick up a prize like those given to Sir Tom Jones, Sir Mick Jagger and the newly knighted Bono. The 47-year-old says, "It’s songs like that (The Queen Is Dead) which mean my chances are slim. But just look at who has been honored already. Mad Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell has an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) and obese Jamie Oliver has an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire)."

Las Vegas actress Nikki Cox and comedian Jay Mohr are officially husband and wife, her rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. The couple exchanged vows in Los Angeles on Friday night. Cox, 28, met Mohr, 36, when he guest-starred on her NBC drama. Mohr, who guest stars on CBS’s Ghost Whisperer, popped the question in February. Mohr was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1993 to 1995, as well as the host of NBC’s Last Comic Standing and star of the cult FOX sitcom Action! This is the first marriage for Cox, who was previously engaged to comic Bob Goldthwait. Mohr was married to model-turned-actress Nicole Chamberlain from 1998 to 2004. They have one child together, a son named Jackson. Earlier this year, Mohr joked that Jackson, who was 3 at the time, would be planning the ultimate bachelor party. "(It) would be Big Wheels, a little Thomas the Tank Engine and then jumping off the furniture yelling, ‘Infinity and beyond!’ " he told PEOPLE. "Once in a while he’ll mix it up and yell, ‘Guacamole and cheese!’ I have no idea (why), but it has the same result: a cannonball into my solar plexus followed by insane laughing."
People
I really like both of them, so I hope it works out for them!

Austin Powers star Verne Troyer’s long-running battle with alcohol abuse has landed him back in a rehab facility. The small star recently checked himself into a treatment center near his Michigan hometown for 12 days after suffering a relapse. His manager, Elena Fondacaro, confirms to The National Enquirer, "Verne was in rehab and now he’s in outpatient therapy. "Alcoholism is an illness that comes and goes–and Verne realized he was slipping. He decided to go back to rehab because he’s determined to maintain his sobriety." Fondacaro adds, "He’ll be back in Los Angeles to resume work by mid-January. He’s determined to stay sober."
Hollywood
To me his most memorable moment was when he peed into a plant in a drunken stupor on The Surreal Life. Looks like he if finally getting the help he needed.
