Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison today for striking a woman with a rum bottle at an Atlanta-area nightclub last year according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Judge also gave her 7 years probation and 200 hours of community service.
Da Brat plead guilty for striking the woman who was hospitalized and suffered permanent facial scarring.
About six members of Harris’s family wept when a sheriff’s deputy took her into custody.
“I love y’all,” Harris, 34, said as she was led out of the courtroom.
“We love you too” the relatives replied in unison.
What she was did was awful, but does the time fit the crime? When others who committed worse crimes do less?
BTW I wonder if VH1 is considering doing a reality show following her time behind bars?
So let me get this straight, she gets 3 years for hitting someone over the head with a bottle but Nick Hogan who made his “best friend” a vegetable for the rest of his life only gets 8 months…. That is f****d up.
Thats just crazy! Granted I know what she did was wrong but 3 YEARS. Yeah her victim will have some scars on her face but what about the kids that was in the car with Nick Hogan he cant even fed himself and will always be a vegatable!! and he got 8 months!!!Thats not right at all.He should have gotten alot more time…Both were wrong so why is the punishment so different.

It was completely unprovoked. The woman merely bumped into her on accident while working as a hostess at the club. Moments later, she is attacked with a near full liquor bottle which has left her with permanent facial damage. I would say that any violent crime should get some damn time. Perhaps that amount of time isn’t enough, since we see many of them back at the same damn nonsense after release.
