Paul Walker passed away today at the age of 40 after getting in to a single car accident in Santa Clarita, Ca. According to TMZ he was there “car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort, and had been taking friends out for rides in his new Porsche GT.” They say during one of the rides, he somehow lost control of his car, hit a post or a tree and then car burst into flames with a passenger and himself inside. The story is still developing and we will learn more in the coming days.
Walker is best known for starring in almost all of the Fast and Furious movies. Before he landed the role of Brian O’Conner, he started acting as a teen and guest starred on several shows like Highway to Heaven, Charles in Charge and Who’s the Boss? Then he went from the small screen to the big one and became a breakout star in films like Varsity Blues and She’s All That. But it was the Fast and Furious movies that launched him into super stardom and he never stopped working. On December 13th his movie, Hours, about Hurricane Katrina comes out and then on July 11th his final Fast movie comes out.
The actor is survived by a 15 year old daughter and he recently talked about her to Express. He said, “When you have kids young that’s part of the game. I’m grateful I had her (daughter) at 25 and not 20 because, at 40 and 15, we’re matching up sweet! She’s been with her mom her whole life and she wants a relationship with her pops. It’s working out really well right now.”
So today honor him by watching one of his many movies and keep his spirit alive.
