Last night on NBC’s America’s Got Talent we got to see our version of Susan Boyle, and I have to say I think that Kari Callen is even better than her!!! Kari like Susan has never been on a date and she can sing, but unlike Susan her story is so much more touching. She was born with a cleft lip and was once told she was too ugly to sing on a cruise ship, but her voice is so beautiful you overlook it! Just amazing! I hope she goes really far in this competition and everything she does because she has such an amazing spirit!!!
Next Tuesday at 9p on NBC it is the MySpace auditions and those should be really interesting and unique!!!
Meh. Kari’s a reasonable Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli night club show tune singer without the oomph.. but Sunsan Boyle has perfected tune and emotion range and classic show-stopping ballad blazing vocal talent that makes you weep, a sultry sound pierces your defenses and Her pitch was right on, her quality was clear and she had volume when she belted I dreamed a dream. Her delivery and singing is very free, unaffected and pure, with lots of clarity and range meeting specific expectations when anyone hears that song
