Tonight’s Zoey Extraordinary Playlist at 8p on NBC is a nightmare for Zoey (Jane Levy). That is because she hasn’t been getting any sleep due to her scary dreams. The lack of sleep is making her angry, and she can’t express her feelings to anyone, including Max (Skylar Astin).

Max is also dealing with issues with Mo (Alex Newell) over their new business venture together. While their business is just taking off, Maggie (Mary Steenburgen) is trying to reinvent her landscaping company without her late husband. Her first meeting did not go well. However, she will have help from someone she never expected.

Maggie is not the only one needing help, so do her son (Andrew Leeds) and daughter-in-law (Alice Lee). David and Emily are having a hard time adjusting to being parents of a newborn so soon after he lost his father.

The loss of her father causes Zoey to have a heart-to-heart with Simon (John Clarence Stewart). He knows what it is like to lose a parent. How will Max react when he finds out she spoke to Simon?

Simon is the only person at work she is talking to because she is yelling at everyone else. That leads to her workers (Michael Thomas Grant, Kapil Talwalkar, Harvey Guillén) singing It’s a Hard Knock Life from Annie to her, and it is eggcellent. This is one of my favorite numbers to date, and I love almost all of them. You can tell that they all had a lot of fun singing and dancing to the show tune.

All of this leads to an epic moment that you don’t want to miss.

If you are not watching this show, then you need to check it out. It has been television’s bright spot during the pandemic. Don’t we all need a bright spot these days?
