The Starter Wife is about a woman (Debra Messing) whose Hollywood executive husband decides to divorce her out of the blue taking away her marital and Hollywood elite status. Now that she banished from her country clubs, premiere events and preferred seating at the trendiest restaurants, she is forced to redefine who she is now. With the help of her old (Judy Davis and Joe Mantegna) and her new friends (Stephen Moyer) she slowly gets her life back on track. Whether you have been through a divorce or moved to a new place or started a new job, we have all started over at some point and this captures what we all went though and how far we have come through that change.
