For almost a year, Al Jean has hinted that someone will die on
The Simpsons. He gave us a clue that character who dies is voiced by someone who won an Emmy for their role on the show. Only problem with that clue, is that they all won Emmys for the show. So that really didn’t narrow it down.
Well today at Comic-Con, Fox narrowed it down a little bit more with a promo for the upcoming season premiere where that person will meet their maker. Will it be Marge, Grandpa, Marge’s mom, Bart, Comic Book Guy, Patty and/or Selma, Sideshow Bob, Krusty, Lisa, Moe, Homer, Krusty’s Dad or Apu? Still need more of hint? The title of the episode that airs on September 28th is “Clown in the Dumps”. So I think we can all assume who it is from that? Or can we?
The one good thing is that character will not be erased from the show permanently. Al Jean told me on a conference call a few months ago, “I have no doubt that the character will reappear you know in Homer’s memory or whoever’s.”
So after all of that, who do you think will be leaving Springfield for 6 feet under?
