Undateable is the biggest comedy to debut in the summer in years, and it is back with two new episodes on NBC tonight at 9p. Having seem the those two episodes, I can tell you don’t want to say no this show.
Danny (Chris D’elia) does something to get Justin (Brent Morin) and Nicki (Briga Heelan) together; but when Justin tries to pretend it never happened, will it kill his chances with the girl of his dreams. Or maybe the undateable man will finally be dateable? You just have to tune into these very funny episodes to find out.
If you have seen this show, then you know the cast is very dateable. But there are things that make them undateable and the show’s star Chris D’elia and the Executive Producer Bill Lawrence dished about what those things are on a conference call last week.
For Chris the explanation is an easy one, because he said this about `himself, “I just feel like I’m undateable the whole time, my whole life.” I know, I have a friend that is so in love with him, she would date him in instant.
Chris had this to say about his friend, Brent Morin, “Well Brent is too short.” Then Bill added, “The thing Brent hates is we make fun of him for being short in real life and on the show and he’s not. He’s almost 6’ tall, but Chris and I are both taller than him.” Then he added with a laugh, “Yes, also by the way notice – because you notice that Brent’s a little angry in real life.”
So what about Rick Glassman? Here’s what Chris let us know about him, “Rick is completely annoying. He’s so annoying and so like to date him, I couldn’t even imagine because you’d be arguing over things that just have no, you’d be like, ‘No, that’s a bagel,’ and he’d be like, ‘No, it’s not, it’s a bird.’ Like that’s how annoying he is.”
And what about the love machine Ron Fuches? Bill shared with us, “much like you said Chris, the whole time you’d be dating Ron, I think you would in the back of your head feel like he wasn’t a real person and that he was just a figment of your imagination.”
So which cast member is dateable? According to Bill it is, the brand new mom in real life, Bianca Kajlich.
Of course, the comedian and the sitcom creator were joking about the castmates. And it is these types of joke that make the show so much fun and entertaining.
So if you can date one of those Undateable people, which one would it be? Now that you know what makes then Undateable?
