The biggest moment at this year’s Emmys is when Director Glenn Weiss won the Emmy and won our hearts by clinching his girlfriend’s heart. He did that by telling Jan Svendsen why he hated to call her his girlfriend. He would rather call her his wife.
At that point, everyone knew exactly what he meant. He was proposing to the love of his life. With some coaching from the audience, she went up onto the stage and he got down on one knee. Thankfully, she said yes.
But what would have happened if he did not win? He told the press backstage, he would have asked her at their go-to post-awards shows spot In-n-Out. Good thing he won!
Why do they have an after awards spot? The two met in 2001 and worked together for 10 years. According to Variety both of them worked on the Tonys and as we know he also works on the Oscars.
Did she have any idea that he was going to propose to her on national television? Nope, the only person who knew was his dad. The person whom he got the ring from whether his siblings like it or not.
