Top Gun: Maverick was slated to come out July 12, 2019, but now it will be delayed until June 26, 2020. Why is it being postponed for 11 months and 24 days? According to Deadline, Paramount is giving time for “production to work out all the complex flight sequences so that the pic can be great.

To me, there seems to be more to the story than just post special effects. I just do not know what.
