Back in 1978, Warren Beatty wrote, starred, and directed in a movie called Heaven Can Wait. He played LA Rams’ Quarterback Joe Pendleton, a man who was mistakenly taken up to heaven by an angel. While he is there, he is told his actual death date was March 20, 2025.
That date seemed so far away, 47 years ago. But today, it is the day! I would love to know how Beatty feels about that. Because he actually lived long enough to see it.
I wonder why he picked this date. It was so random back then, and now it is a reality.
Also, back then, it felt like the Rams would stay in LA forever. But the football team spent about 20 years in St. Louis. Thankfully, they came back in time to celebrate Joe Pendleton’s death day.
Thanks to Alison Martino for sharing this tidbit. I love it when predicted dates in entertainment actually turn into that day on the calendar. I don’t know why, but it is so cool. For example, George Jetson’s birthday was July 31, 2022, and Marty McFly traveled to October 21, 2015.
What other dates can you think of?
