The X Factor will not be back for another season. For the first time since 2002 our airwaves will be without Simon Cowell, who is returning home to London to work on The X Factor there.
Is the news surprising? Not at all because of the low ratings and never having created a star from the show. Well at least not one as a singer. Because The Goldbergs’ Hayley Orrantia started out on the singing competition.
Due to The X Factor’s failure, I am sure other talent competitions will be following the show into the world of TV history. They have run their course for the time being, but they will be back again at some point to haunt our television sets.
