Last year for some reason a lot of people didn’t tune into watch
The Neighbors every week and they missed on the best written comedy on television. There is so much quick wit, self-deprecation, heart and laughs in each episode and yet you didn’t watch. Well you can make up for your mistake at 8:30p tonight and watch the season premiere for a show that isn’t suffering from the sophomore slump.
It has been a year since The Weavers moved into the Hidden Hills gated community and Larry Bird (Simon Templeman) and Jackie Joyner-Kersee (Toks Olagundoye) have gone over to Debbie (Jami Gertz) and Marty’s (Lenny Venito) house to celebrate their anniversary together. But what they will all get is a surprise when they see their teenage children, Reggie Jackson (Tom Jo) and Amber Weaver (Clara Mamet) kissing. Now the aliens and the humans have to figure out how they are going to handle their children dating.
A solution that can only be solved with a daylong conference in the Bird/Joyner-Kersee’s underground conference room. Let’s just say it anything but ordinary and The Weavers will have to go through some great measures to get to this high-tech room.
Once they are there, they will deliberate on whether or not Amber and Reggie should or should not continue dating. Cute little Dick Butkus (Ian Patrick) runs the meeting with an iron fist and that means not letting Jerry Springer put in his two cents whenever he wants to. That’s Jerry Springer is there. And he is not the biggest surprise guest on tonight’s episode, that person will change everything and that is all I can tell you for now.
Well that and you have to watch because I sincerely don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a sitcom this much. It sincerely is a smart show with on-the-mark acting and it’s a comedy that everyone in the family can enjoy together. There are life lessons, there are touching moments and most importantly there are a lot of laughs. What more do you need?
Plus it is on right before
Shark Tank, and here is a little inside tip there is a crossover episode coming up later on in the season between the two shows.
Now when it comes to Shark Tank’s season premiere at 9p there are some cool products on the show. So cool, I actually want to buy some. First off there is a guy who has come up with an app that will let you turn your pictures into postcards and send them to your friends and family. Two women who make gourmet pickles and they had me at gourmet pickles. Two brothers that are also doctors who have come up with a way to connect doctors and patients with social media. And finally two guys who one-upped cake pops. One pitch will be so bad that investors declare it the worst pitch in the show’s history. And another one of these 4 pitches will be so good that it will literally split the panel in 2. It will be 2 against 3 investors fighting for one product. What will that/those investors do? You will just have to tune in to find out in an episode that will have you wanting what they are selling.
