On April 16th, Harry Anderson passed away suddenly, and over the weekend several cast and crew members from Night Court reunited to remember their friend.
Marsha Warfield was the last one to join the cast as a series regular, but it was as though she was there from the beginning of the sitcom. Roz shared some photos of herself with her former co-workers, actors Markie Post aka Christine Sullivan and John Larroquette aka Dan Fielding, and crew members Julie Dresner and Susie Gunter as they reminisced about their buddy. Not Buddy, his father on the courtroom comedy, played by John Astin, but Harry himself.
No other details were shared about their day, but it looks like they remembered Judge Harry T Stone just as he lived his life, with a huge smile. They have all said that the actor, magician and comedian always made them laugh on the set. Just like he always made us laugh on our TV sets.
Before Anderson passed away, I said I really wanted a Night Court revival. Seeing the cast looking all happy together and looking just as good now as they did then makes me think that it would have worked. Too bad, it was never meant to be.
