Lizzie Borden took an axe, killed her father and stepmom, got acquitted and now what? That is what Lifetime’s mini-series The Lizzie Borden Chronicles is going to tell us beginning tonight at 10p.
Now that the trial is over, Lizzie (Christina Ricci) and her sister, Emma (Clea DuVall) are trying to get their lives back to normal. Only problem is everyone is trying to get a piece of their money. Without money, how will they be able to do that? To make matters worse, where ever they go people seem to die. Even though Lizzie has been cleared of her parents’ murder, cops are wondering if she is the suspect in these latest crimes? Is she or is it just a coincidence? You will just have to tune in to find out.
When I heard about this mini-series I was looking forward to see what they were going to do with it. While I enjoy the story, I hate the editing. It feels like an artsy independent horror film and I am not a fan of those type of movies. If you can get past that, then you will enjoy the story loosely based on one of the most notorious females of the late 19th Century.
