Tonight at 8p, The CW begins their fall season with The Flash and Black Lightning, and yet today they are already announcing what we can expect from their summer lineup.
Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Masters of Illusion and Whose Line Is It Anyway will make our summer nights magical and funny all over again. They also ordered season 2 for The Outpost and the very compelling legal mystery drama Burden of Truth. Along with those 5 shows, they are importing the British drama Bulletproof.
Bulletproof is being described as, “two undercover cops, Bishop (Noel Clarke, Star Trek: Into Darkness) and Pike (Ashley Walters, Top Boy) as they chase down hardened criminals in London’s East End. But the series is more than high-octane action and thrilling cases. On the surface Bishop and Pike have a lot in common, they are cool, smart and unapologetically street-wise and tough. But even more, they share a deep, fraternal relationship and are always there for each other. However, they come from very different backgrounds and their personal motivations and emotional lives outside the police force differ as a result.”
If you have not seen Burden of Truth, I highly suggest binging it on The CW app. It is nice to see a court case play out over a season as compared to just an episode. Especially, one as interesting as the case of the town with girls who are mysteriously sick and no one knows why. Then when they find out what caused it, how to win their case and protect other people in the town from getting it too.
