Just two weeks after Ronn Moss announced that he was leaving The Bold and The Beautiful,
TV Line is reporting that Susan Flannery is doing the same. She is the second original to be walking away from the CBS half hour soap after being on it for 25 years. With their departures that just leaves two people who were there from the beginning and that is a sad state of affairs for the show. They should’ve tried their best to keep at least one of them.
Moss I am sure will focus on his music career and when it comes to Flannery I am sure someone is going to scoop her very quickly because she just that awesome.
UPDATE: According to Soap Opera Digest the CBS was able to make a bold and beautiful deal to keep Flannery on the show! Head Writer Bradley P Bell told SOD, “She’s been through a lot personally; we know that she had her own battle with cancer and she’s had such an amazing career that she will continue to have as Stephanie Forrester, but I think it’s not so much as a disagreement between her and the show, but more Susan figuring out where she is right now and what she needs. Now, Susan is going to have an incredible time with a new storyline that we’ve never seen before; something completely unique and interesting.” Can’t to see what they have in the works for her.
