For those of you who don’t know this, Trey Parker and Matt Stone edit South Park almost up until airtime.

Believe it or not, since 1997, they have only missed one deadline, and that was the episode Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers, which was slated to air on October 16, 2013. They missed the deadline due to a power outage in the studio.

Make that two times. Today, the creators announced that they missed tonight’s deadline.

“APPARENTLY WHEN YOU DO EVERYTHING AT THE LAST MINUTE SOMETIMES YOU DON’T GET IT DONE. THIS ONE’S ON US.

“WE DIDN’T GET IT DONE IN TIME. THANKS TO COMEDY CENTRAL AND SOUTH PARK FANS FOR BEING SO UNDERSTANDING.”

So, this week’s episode will air next week, and the upcoming release dates will also change. Here is the new schedule: September 24, October 15, October 29, November 12, November 26, and December 10.

A month ago, South Park aired an episode where they made fun of Charlie Kirk, and he approved of it. However, the episode has been pulled from Comedy Central’s rotation for obvious reasons.
