Shia LaBeouf was asked by Lars Von Trier’s production company,
Zentropa Productions, “How did you hear about the film and the project?” Well he talked about how excited he got when he heard about the role and he really wanted it even though he didn’t think he had a chance of getting it. Then his people got a call and it was different than all the other casting calls they ever got. Shia explained, “The first info we got, and I’ll never forget this because my entire team reacted with such a fear. The first request on the production end, not from Lars, was pictures of my pen!s.” Knowing Shia’s recent history, I bet he sent in pictures of Ron Jeremy or Michael Fassbender’s junk to get the role of his lifetime. I mean, I wouldn’t hire him to play the part after having seen his part in
Sigur Rós’ music video Fjögur pÃanó. Would you?
