There were several big sitcoms in the ’90s and Roseanne is the biggest one of them all. I am not referring to the show’s stars’ weight, who are not fat anymore. I am talking about the show’s success. It still runs in syndication on several networks and it is still adored by fans all over the World.
Today’s news is going to make those fan very happy because Deadline is reporting that the legendary comedy is being shopped around for an 8-epsiode season with Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert reprising their iconic roles. Also it looks like Laurie Metcalfe and her Big Bang Theory co-star Johnny Galecki will be joining them. No word which Becky will be doing the show and if her character will be back. We do know that original Mark will not be part of it because Glenn Quinn passed away in 2002.
No word what the plot of the show will be or how they will bring Dan back, but I do know we want our Connors back. I am glad that they found away to bring Goodman back because he is the rock of the family that keeps them all in line. Just don’t tell Roseanne.
Where will the 8-episodes air? That is still to be determine. Deadline says that ABC, who originally aired the show, is definitely interested. So is Netflix, home of the Revivals, along with several other places that have shown their desire to air the influential program that changed the landscape of TV.
I love the age of revivals because it has given us more episodes of our favorite shows like Arrested Development, The X-Files, Gilmore Girls, Boy Meets World, Full House, Raven, Twin Peaks, Will & Grace and now Roseanne. Now, if only we can get them to revive Dinoasaurs, I would be the happiest baby!
