Tobey Maguire is out and Robert Pattinson is in as the new Spider-Man according to
ReelzChannel. The Twilight bloodsucker will be spinning a new web in not only Spiderman 4, but 5 and a yet to be named spinoff also according to a press release from the head of Sony Pictures. Sam Raimi had this to say about the press release, “Decisions like these are always difficult. I know the fans liked Tobey — and I greatly enjoyed working with him — but Robert is the future of the franchise.”
I like Robert (could be because I have never seen any of his movies), but I don’t think he is Spider-Man. He is just not nerdy enough. You need someone a little more wimpy than him to play the role which is why Tobey was good in it Do you think Robert is the right choice?
UPDATE: According to Gossip Cop it is an unfunny April Fool’s Day joke by Reelz. Just for that I won’t watch their stupid channel that hasn’t played The Critic in a really long time.
