Actress and activist Ruby Dee passed away yesterday at the age of 91 according to
USA Today. Dee is best known for starring in Raisin in the Sun in 1961, but she has pretty much been working nonstop since she started acting in 1940. Six years later, she met her future husband Ossie Davis. A man, who she not only shared a bed with but also the stage and screen. Now 9 years later they are together once again in heaven.
Even though her voice has been silenced, we keep it very much alive by watching one of her many many films and TV appearances.
