Mickey Rooney passed away today after a long illness according to
TMZ. Rooney was the first big male child star and continued acting up until this decade. He was known for Sugar Babies, Babes in Arms, the Andy Hardy series, National Velvet, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Pete’s Dragon, The Black Stallion, Bill, Night at the Museum and The Muppets to name just a few of the many things he starred in throughout his legendary career. As well known as he was for his acting, the 5’2″ actor was also known for marrying 8 times like his co-star Elizabeth Taylor and yet they never married each other.
So today honor this little guy with a huge career and watch one of his many many many movies.
