Four days after His Royal Highness of Cambridge was born, he finally has a name.
Kensington Palace revealed Prince William and Kate Middleton’s choice for their third child, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”
Emily Andrew’s, The Sun’s Royal Correspondent, explained their choice as, “Louis is also George & William’s middle name. Louis Mountbatten was Prince Charles’ much-loved great-uncle who was assassinated in 1979. Prince Louis of Battenberg was Prince Philip’s gabdafther’s name.”
When it comes to how you pronounce his first name, it is Louis like with Louis Armstrong.
Personally, I like the name because it is not as proper as George and Charlotte. Just like Harry, it is a little more fun and a little fun does not hurt.
UPDATE: One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Tweeted, “Young Louis welcome to the world. I’ll take you under my wing lad. The Adidas tracksuit is in the post!” No word when little Louis will meet big Louis’ son Freddie Reign. You know it has to happen at some point since the older kid has such a regal name.
