The Traitors is the most buzzed about new reality show in a really long time. Its numbers are so big on Peacock that it was the #1 unscripted series in the U.S. across all streaming platforms during its second season premiere week in January, according to Nielsen.

Not only that, it also won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program at the Primetime Emmy Awards for its first season.

So, with all of that being said. It should be no surprise that Peacock announced today that it picked up the series for a third season, and Alan Cumming will be back to host The Traitors and the Faithfuls at the Scottish castle.

The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. Entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor or Traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.

If you haven’t been watching, then you can catch the first season and half of this one on Peacock. And then, when you are done, make sure to stream The Traitors in Australia and The UK. The latter one is so good! I can’t wait until their second season starts streaming on our side of the pond.
