Patti Lupone is one of the biggest names in Broadway Musicals in the last 50 years. However, the Tony winner says she is done with them.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever do another Broadway musical cause I just don’t think they’re very good right now. They’re not writing for me,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I don’t know if I want to do eight shows a week in a Broadway musical, but I would do a play in a heartbeat.”
Someone needs to write a Musical for her, but it won’t be Andrew Lloyd Webber. That is because she told the trade, “Andrew Lloyd Webber is a narcissistic, insecure man,” when asked about Sunset Boulevard.
