Patrick Swayze was hospitalized for chemo-related pneumonia according
The Live Feed. He was expected to be at the TCAs to promote his new show The Beast that premieres on A&E this Thursday, but instead the head of the network announced.
"Patrick has asked that I tell you that this morning he checked himself into the hospital for observation," A&E president and GM Robert DeBitetto said. "Chemotherapy can take its toll on the immune system, and illnesses are a part of that. Patrick wishes me to tell you that he's very sorry he cannot attend, but plans to get back to promoting 'The Beast' soon. He thanks everybody for the outpouring of support. We hope to see him back on his feet soon."
My prayers are with him and hopefully he will be better soon.
Swayze was on Barbara Walters with his wife Lisa on Wednesday and opened up about his cancer for the first time since he announced he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over a year ago.
