David Letterman sat down with Oprah Winfrey at his Alma Mater Ball State (that explains so much) and
CBS This Morning spoke to Lady O herself. CBS News Special Correspondent spoke with the former Queen of Daytime and he asked her if she missed her show as much as the millions of people who have been mourning The Oprah Winfrey Show since it left the airwaves on May 25, 2011. She said, “I do not miss the show—I don’t miss the show. I thought about it for a very long time and I knew that it would be very important that when you let it go, you really can let it go.” I don’t think that all of those viewers who watched her religiously feel the same way, but at least they can still watch her on her OWN network!
I’ll tell you I can see her side on this because imagine how much pressure it must be to have people read the books, buy the gifts and do whatever else you tell them to do. I think has to be more scary than rewarding. Although I am not really sure because Oprah hasn’t told me how to feel about it.
