Everybody who ever worked with John Leguizamo better grab a copy of his new memoir, "Pimps, Hos, Playa Hatas, and All the Rest of My Hollywood Friends." Yeah, we told you about Leguizamo’s run-ins with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Penelope Ann Miller and other people. But allow us to share a few more pages from Mambo Mouth’s diary. Take the ordeal of playing miniature painter Toulouse-Lautrec in "Moulin Rouge!" Director Baz Luhrmann had him wear prosthetic legs and lay prone all day on the floor. But there was an upside: "I got to peek up Nicole Kidman’s skirt. Let me just say the curtains match the carpet." Having "those really hot scenes with Mira Sorvino" in "Summer of Sam" was also "kind of trippy," especially since his wife, Teeny, was pregnant at the time. "Mira is really beautiful. And really smart," he writes. "She’s a great package." Leguizamo admits that he sometimes becomes aroused filming a sex scene. "I feel like I should apologize for it," he says. "Like the owner of a dog … ‘Sorry. Down boy. Roll over. Play dead.’" Leguizamo also writes about having to gratify himself in front of the camera in "Spun," having rough sex with an extra on "Carlito’s Way" and almost coming to blows with "Miss Crazy" Patrick Swayze in "To Wong Foo …" He still regrets any pain he may have caused Method acting god Lee Strasberg. After working with him one day, Strasberg died. Says Leguizamo: "I have that effect on people."
Ruch & Molloy
I have to admit that Strassberg thing made me LOL!
