The legendary rocker – who is in the UK promoting his forthcoming album: ‘Bat Out Of Hell III’ – had his own entire back catalogue stolen and all his favourite LPs by other artists stolen while he was moving house. He told BANG Showbiz: ‘It was in the back of a removal van. The police arrested the driver for some reason and impounded the truck. ‘While it was there someone broke in and stole my entire back catalogue of everything I had done – every single, every album – gone.’ Now the ‘Dead Ringer For Love’ singer is trying to replace his collection by trawling the internet auction site. He added: ‘I have managed to get most of it back. It’s been expensive and time consuming and they might not be the exact same ones that were taken, but it’s a start. ‘It’s kind of weird trying to buy back your own stuff too.’ However, MeatLoaf – whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday – says not everything the thieves took was valuable. The rocker revealed: ‘They also stole a box of hangers. Hangers? What the hell are they going to do with a box of hangers. I won’t be trying to buy those back.’
